!Why don't Follow-up Flags populate to Reminders window?
When I create a Follow-up Flag on an email or Contact - even specifying an
exact time and date - it does not appear in the Reminders window when that time arrives. Any help would be very helpful. Thanks - Steve Caro |

Are those items with reminders in your default Inbox and Contacts folders?
Without using a 3rd party utility you can only get reminders from items in your default Inbox, Contacts, Calendar and Tasks folders. In all other folders the items will only turn red when the reminders are due. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Reminder Manager, Extended Reminders, Attachment Options http://www.slovaktech.com/products.htm "Steve Caro" wrote in message ... Ken,
Is there a 3rd party utility that will allow setting up search folders for use with IMAP folders? Thanks! Only if you move or copy items from the IMAP folders to a local PST or
Exchange mailbox. IMAP folders are located on the mail server and search folders, while not limited only to mail items, are required to be located in the same mail store as the folders the search folder is monitoring. A search folder is a special MAPI folder with filtering restrictions on it and one requirement of that setup is that the search folder is located in the same mail store as the monitored folders. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Reminder Manager, Extended Reminders, Attachment Options http://www.slovaktech.com/products.htm "Craig Apple" Craig wrote in message ... Ken,
My messages marked for "follow-up" don't automatically appear in the "Follow-Up Search Folder" when due. Is this the same issue raised here? The only way I can get messages into the F/U Search folder is to redisplay them when due, click on the "Follow-Up" icon and resave them. Messages that I mark for "Follow-Up" typically end up in the "Sent" folder. Thank you, Tom "Ken Slovak - [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: Are those items with reminders in your default Inbox and Contacts folders? Well, they won't fire a reminder from Sent Items without an addin to do that
but they certainly should show up in the For Follow-up search folder. They do in all my Outlook 2003 installations. Have you customized your search folder in any way? You can check its settings by right-clicking on it in the Folder List view of the Navigation Pane and selecting Customize this Search Folder. Make sure all the folders you want searched are checked in the Browse dialog. At worst, if that doesn't help you can try starting Outlook with the /cleanfinders switch and see if that helps you. Or you could delete the existing search folder and create a new one using the For Follow-up template that's provided. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Reminder Manager, Extended Reminders, Attachment Options http://www.slovaktech.com/products.htm "TomQ." wrote in message ...
