Default Outlook 2007 Collapse Contact Catagory Folders

I'm using Outlook 2007 and in my Contacts I have them viewed by Catagory. If I expand a catagory group and then go to another screen (Calendar, Email, etc.) and then come back to Contacts the group(s) that I left expanded are still that way. I thouhgt they used to collapse when I left the screen. Does anyone know if there is a setting I'm missing? I know I can click View/Expand-Collapse Groups/Collapse All Groups, but I never had to do that before. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
