reinstall problems

I believe I uninstalled my Outlook and Excel on a reinstall. my computer
crashed last week and I did a system restore. I ended up having to reinstall
Office 2003 to get back Word. However I think I made a terrible error and
checked off outlook and excel and other programs (everything except Word) and
now they are gone! The only thing I care about are my Outlook personal
folders.. are they gone forever?

They should be fine... they are stored in the following location by default.

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook
You will have to enable the folder options to show hidden files and folders
for this. In your Windows explorer window go to tools/folder options/view.
And show hidden files and folders.
The easy way of course is just to go to add/remove programs and find your
office installation. then hit change, and add the missing applications.
