Org Chart layout problems
I am having difficulty getting the automatic org chart layout working
correctly. I have a chart with about 25 employees, both managers and positions in teams uder a single manager. On the Organization Chart menu, I click Re-layout and the chart becomes a jumble, including boxes overlapping and lines routing through boxes. If I click on the highest level manager and click Arrange subordinates I get similar results. I am using Vision 2003 SP1. Is this expected behavior? How can I lay out shapes automatically without having this occur? Thanks, Michael |

I have discovered that during the layout process,
positions will get disconnected from the original manager and reconnected to another. -----Original Message----- I am having difficulty getting the automatic org chart layout working correctly. It sounds like the internal model maintained by the Organization Chart
solution is out of sync with the drawing. The layout functionality uses this data. Is there any possibility that this drawing was modified in a different version of Visio or with automation events disabled? -- Mike Mueller WinFX SDK Team This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. I only use one version of Visio and I'm not sure about Automation Events. I
couldn't find a menu item or dialog box refering to this.
