Default Changing Printers

Hi, we have changed our network printer so we are getting
the "...problem retieving printer information..." when we
run reports. We have found that we can fix the problem in
design view of the report by using Page Setup. However
there are some reports that now won't open in design view
now. They simply repeat the same error message. Any ideas?

Instead of trying to open the report in desgin mode, try just highlighting
the report name then change the printer settings via File--Page Setup. This
may work.
Regards
Darren

Try changing the printer print resolution - found under
the printer properties settings. Change from 600 x600 dpi
to 300 x 300 dpi.

It is doubtful that that will impact the ability to open the report in
design mode. The only real solution is to duplicate the old network
printer device that the report's were set up to output to. (All you need
to do is have the admin install a driver, no printer needed; if the print
server as a machine has disappeared, the admin may need to temporarily set
up a machine with the same name.) Then once all the reports are able to
open again, set them to use the default printer. PITA, but that may be
your only solution.
