Default password to import pst files

I had to reinstall Windows XP and Office 2000. I am trying to import backed
up .pst files into outlook and it keeps asking for a password. I have no idea
what the password is. The import process stops with "The password you have
entered is incorrect. Retype the password."

If I cancel at the password screen, it says "Properties for this information
service must be defined prior to use"

Is there any way to get my .pst files imported? I have hundreds of contacts
I really don't want to lose.

If you are receiving this message for PSTs for which you never added
passwords, then your backup procedure has corrupted them. Have you tried
simply opening the PSTs? FileOpenOutlook Data File. Chances are, though,
that you'll still be prompted for than non-existent password.

Describe IN DETAIL exactly how you created these backups and how you restored
them to the PC.

Hi,

Even if you forget the password for the encrypted PST file, you can
still decrypt it by using Advanced Outlook Repair. Advanced Outlook
Repair can decrypt all the encrypted data and convert it into a new
PST file that doesn't require a password. You can visit
http://www.datanumen.com/aor/problem...k-password.htm to get more
detailed information.

http://www.datanumen.com/aor/ contains detailed information about
Advanced Outlook Repair.

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe
