How can i turn off the auto Send/Recieve feature on Outlook 2003
don't need to update mail each time i go in. send/recieve update feature
slows my system down considerably. i would rather not simply turn off my wireless card as i may want internet access... rather i am looking for the "manual update" function on Outlook 2003 - if one exists. any help would be appreciated. |

From the main Outlook window, try CTRL + ALT + S to bring up the
send/receive settings. From there you should be able to configure Outlook to do what you want. (e.g. uncheck the box to check for mail every X minutes and it will stop polling.) In addition to what neo said, click ToolsOptionsMail Setup and uncheck "Send immediately when connected". That and neos suggestion will then require you to click Send/Receive. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
