Default problem with install office 2007 on XP

I am trying to install Home enterprise version of 2007 on XP. I have works 9
and when I put the CD in, nothing happens. I even tried to go to my computer
and open up the D drive and nothing shows up. I take the CD to work and
place it in drive and the istall box comes up. What is going on?

There is an utility that you download that makes Works 9 a qualified upgrade
product

Error message when you try to upgrade Works 9 or Works SE 9 to an upgrade
version of a 2007 Office suite

I feel so stupid. realized my home computer is only a CD drive- not a DVD.
So the install disks say DVD on them. So need to copy to a jump drive to
install. Thanks so much.
