Default Duplicate "Contacts"it defaults to empty folder. How to delete?

Ïn "Contacts"for Outlook 2003 I have Two folders. One with all of the
contacts and the second one empty.
When sending new emails the "TO" link defaults to the empty folder. I can
not find where to delete this ghost folder.
Thank you for any suggestions.
P.S. Moving the folders up or down in the list makes no difference, it still
defaults to the empty folder.

Click ToolsE-mail AccountsView or change existing directories or address
booksNext. Select Outlook Address Book and click Change. Remove the bogus
entry there. Stop and restart Outlook.
