Default Making a frame to insert a picture

Hi,

I am trying to make an ID card for our members at our Club House. It is
a little ID card that I created in Power Point.

I would like to take their picture with the digital camera and then
insert their picture in a certain area on the card.

When I import the picture from the camera, it inserts as a very large
picture.

I would like to know if there is a way to possibly insert the picture
into a "frame", and have the picture resized automatically.

Normally I have resized and cropped in Phototshop Elements, then
inserted the picture in Power Point, but for some reason I still have to
resize it once it is on the Power Point card.

I hope this makes sense and that someone can help me make this job easier.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Jean

The easiest solution to create a consistent look is to place an autoshape
(may rounded corner box ?) in the position and size on your template slide.
To insert a pictu
1. Select the autoshape
2. Go to the paint bucket and select FILL EFFECTS
3. On the pop-up window select the PICTURE tab
4. Click SELECT PICTURE
5. Locate the photo on your computer and select okay until back to PPT
6. Done.

Thank you Troy, I was able to insert the picture in the box as you
instructed. It did resize the picture to fit the box but the problem is
the picture looks somewhat distorted. Maybe I will just have to
resize the picture (make it much smaller) before it is inserted in the
frame.

After all, I'm sure people will be unhappy if their picture on the ID
badge makes them look odd (even though I'm sure some of them are).

One more question I have about this ID card. Every time I go to Insert,
Picture, From File - it always defaults to the "My Pictures" folder. Is
there anyway to make it default to the folder on C: ID pictures? Just
wondering.

Thanks for your help.

Jean
