Chapter numbering
XP Word 2007.
How can I number my documents (chapter-page) with the main body in arabic and the appendices in alphabetic: 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, A-1, B-1, etc.?

Thanks for your prompt response and information. I have printed out all the documents encompassing the web site presentation and subsequent references. Looks like this may answer my question. Please understand where I am coming from. In WP there is one "numbering" window. In that window I can select page, chapter, secondary page and total page numbering and format for each item. Then build the appropriate "page numbering" sequence for the final presentation all in this one window. It took me some time (slow learner) to realize that in Word "page number" is not just the page number but incorporates the chapter if checked. "Suzanne S.
