Default "microsoft I E has encountered a problem & needs to close - - "

I get the above message when trying to go to some web
sites. This does not happen all the time but is quite
frequent. I have sent in error reports but the problem
continues. Can anyone suggest cause or remedy?

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are
sorry for the inconvenience...

Some possibilities:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=810887
and:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=293623

Other options would be to check for problems:

AdAwa
http://www.lavasoft.de/

SpyBot S & D:
http://beam.to/spybotsd

CWShredder & HijackThis:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Always check for updates before running any of these programs.
