No Longer Available Messages
I often wonder how NGs are controlled/moderated.
How is it decided whether or not a message should stay on the server? I can understand the need to remove obnoxious/pornographic/slanderous etc. postings but it seems that some are removed for no logical reason. It can't be a question of *age* because often older ones are retained. If I go to sowewhere like Google Groups I can usually read those that have been removed from my NG server. Is there any way that I can set up OE to Send/Receive but only present those messages that are still available? Bart |

I can't speak for the ISP-provided newsserver you use but the MS newsserver
keeps messages available for at least 90 days by default, Bart.
