Show/Hide by clicking on underlined text
I have a fairly large document. The document has several
sections that a user will be required to fillout. I would like to hide all instructional portions of the sections and make each section's instructional text appear and disappear when: a. a button is clicked, b. a standard blue underlined word is clicked, c. something similar. I don't want to use outline viewing as that will confuse users... I would also like to lock down the instructional text so that a user can't change it. Thank you for any help provided. |

Look into what Word calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more
about online forms, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles. You can set status bar and F1 help for these fields but users seldom see the status bar change and may not press F1. Where what is wanted isn't obvious from the context, you could use an on-entry macro to display a pop-up message. These would tend to be annoying if overdone. Sub CompanyNamePopUp () MsgBox Prompt:= "Type client comany's name.", Title:= "Company Name" End Sub Hope this helps, -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
