Default Word shuts down when not in use

Word shuts down automatically when not in use for some time. This only
happens when no document is open. Have changed PowerSave options but it
still does it.

This could be a variation of the bug in Word's handwriting recognition
feature. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=555169 "WD: Word Quits
Unexpectedly When Selecting a Document from the Windows Taskbar" for a
suggested solution.
