Default Formulas that reference a cell with numbers and text

How do you create a formula with the end results being a dollar amount when
the cell that the formula references has numbers and text? Example: 5 Boxes
at 5.99=$29.99

You've posted in a newsgroup dedicated to supporting Microsoft Access, the
relational database.

Database tables don't have "cells".

Do you need to post to an Excel newsgroup?

Use Access. Access is better at math than whereever you got your example
from!

Excel does numbers.

Access does databases/applications.

Do you have any references to cite for why you believe "Access is better at
math"?

5 Boxes at 5.99 does not equal $29.99. Access is better at math than
whereever the OP got his example
from!
