Default Styles & Formatting

I am trying to use Styles & Formatting in Word 2002 for
long documents. I have set it up and all seemed to be
working fine. I do incorporate automatic numbering and am
using the cross reference facility. I have 4 layers on
the numbering.

All was great until ... I put in a section break. The
problem is I need to be able to use the same styles as in
the previous section BUT I would like the numbers to
restart from No. 1. This isn't happening.

I have reset the numbers - but it still shows the
continuing number.

Can this be done ? HELP!
