Default Outlook Corrupt

I have Outlook 2007 and it was "laboring" each time it performed a
"send/receive" action... never receiving all the messages. I decided the
best thing to do would be to remove my email account and then "re-add" it. I
performed that action but even though it "looked" as though the account had
been removed (it no longer showed up in the list of email accounts) all my
emails were still there. However, Outlook was no longer able to function as
the "send/receive" button was not even there and I could not receive or send
emails. I tried deleting the "pst" file but when I did then Outlook wouldn't
even open... said it was looking for the "pst" file. I believe Outlook
itself may be corrupt and I would like to try and remove the program and then
re-add it but since it does not appear in the Control Panel under "add/remove
programs," I don't know how to do that. Anybody ever seen this problem
before and can someone PLEASE help me? Many thanks!

Insert your Office cd, select Office Diagnostics
Removing a mail account doesnt remove the mail, deleting the pst file is
plain silly
Create a new Outlook Profile, add a data file, add your mail account and
test
If you have an anti virus application installed that has been intergrated
with outlook, uninstall that Av, reboot your PC, reinstall AV *without* the
outlook intergration

Are you sure your pst files was all right? if not, you can try a tool
called Advanced Outlook Repair. You can download a free demo version
at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe . I think it is a useful
repair tool for you. It is easy to recover your PST file by using its
wizard. It is a powerful tool to recover messages, folders and other
objects from corrupt or damaged Microsoft Outlook PST files.

Detailed information about Advanced Outlook Repair can be found at
