Default Name Order in Address Book

My contacts are filed property under last name, first name but in the Address
Book (and when selecting recipients in emails) the order is first name, last
name.

How do I get Address Book and (and email recipient selection) to appear in
order by last name? And is the solution for Outlook 2003 the same as for 2007
(I use 2007 and my wife 2003).

I feel a bit silly asking this question. I did encounter the issue in past
versions and solved it, but I do this so rarely I don't remember how and I
have been unable to find the answer in Help…..

The Address Book has its own sorting options. For instructions on how to
change this (for both Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003) see;

THANK YOU SO MUCH, Robert! I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure
this thing out since I installed Outlook 2007 two years ago, and thanks to
your instructions in "question/189," the problem is FINALLY solved. My
sincerest thanks!
