If you are talking about how many are left, you can't other than counting the number of current computers it is installed onto. Should be easy since they are supposed to be within your household. |

There in lies the problem. We took it off the PC'(s) when we bought Mac's
and now we don't remember if we had it on 1 or 2 of our PC's. I want to sell it so someone could use the last remaining credits. But I don't know how many there are. There is no such thing as 'credits'
You are allowed to install it on 3 working PC's in the household, if you no longer have any working PC's then you can sell it & the user can install it on their own 3 PC's You can install as often as you like provided it doesnt exceed the number of concurrent working PC's "DBurton" wrote in message ... If you are talking about how many are left, you can't other than counting the number of current computers it is installed onto. Should be easy since they are supposed to be within your household. The appropriate portions of the EULA for H & S 2007 is duplicated below. Items in parentheses are my comments. 14. REASSIGN TO ANOTHER DEVICE. You may reassign the license to a different device any number of times, but not more than one time every 90 days (basically this means transfer from computer to computer). If you reassign, that other device becomes the "licensed device." If you retire the licensed device due to hardware failure, you may reassign the license sooner. (This section really doesn't apply to a sale.) 15. TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY. The first user of the software may make a one-time transfer of the software, and this agreement, directly to a third party. The first user (you) must uninstall the software before transferring it separately from the device. The first user may not retain any copies (disks or paperwork). Before any permitted transfer, the other party must agree that this agreement applies to the transfer and use of the software. The transfer must include the proof of license (the Certificate of Authority which has the key for the software). Just make sure that all software has been uninstalled and sell away. |
