Default Retrieving messages and contacts from an "old" ost file

I recently returned to my team under a new contract and (although my userid
did not changed) was required to set up a new account on the same machine
that my prior account resided. I find I no longer have access to the mails
and contacts in my former account How can I get these contacts and mails?

When you say "account", are you referring to a Windows username, a mail
account, or what?

It was a new windows account. I tried t move my outook files from the old
account to the new one, but the new account would not recognize the older ost
file, since it was created with a prior windows account. Outlook forced me to
create a new ost file.

The old OST doesn't contain anything of interest if you're using Exchange.
The Exchange mailbox should contain all the data and the new Outlook account
should see it. If you have a new Exchange account as well, then the Exchange
admins should move the contents of the old mailbox to your current mailbox.
