Default How do I add up a range of times giving answer in hrs & mins >24h.

I am trying to add up a range of times that will eventually be greater than
24hours, but I need to express this in hours and minutes. I then need to work
out an average for this time.

Assuming the range of times is in col A, A1 down

Put in say, B1: =SUM(A:A)
and in say, B2: =AVERAGE(A:A)

Format B1:B2 as Custom, Type: [h]:mm
(Note that the 2 square braces: [ ] have to be included)

Custom format the total cell as:
[h]:mm

The square brackets prevent the hours from rolling over into days.
