Default 'Watchlist' - flag words occurring in future emails and appts.?

Is there any way to store reminder words/comments that will pop out somehow
if an email comes in w/ that word or you make an appt. in the calendar using
that term? I'm thinking of the situation where you want to be sure to
congratulate Jane Smith on her new baby if a msg. about anything comes in
from her or if you schedule a meeting w/ her company, for example.

Basically, I'm thinking of the capability to be reminded about something
related to a person or event when you don't know when in the future the next
contact will be made or the event will happen. Right now all I can think to
do is write down on a sticky note what I want to remember and hope I'll think
of it when the future contact or notice of the event occurs. Lame!
