Is there a way to turn off keyboard shortcuts in Word?
As I'm typing a million things are happening. The find and replace box is
opening, the text is centering, italicizing. I'm not a sloppy typer. And I'm not hitting the control key. Its driving me crazy. Please help. |

Its driving me crazy. Please help. You may not be hitting the Ctrl key, but those are all things that have shortcuts involving the Ctrl key. That makes me suspect that the Ctrl key is stuck, or has some malfunction (mechanical or electrical) that makes it appear to be stuck. Try plugging in a different keyboard to see if that makes the problem stop. If so, replacement keyboards can be very inexpensive. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
