Default Calendar reminder does not work even though it's turned on

Thanks Ken.
Had a similar issue. This solution worked for me too.

Try starting Outlook with the /resetfolders and /cleanreminders switches. In
the Start, Run dialog:

outlook.exe /resetfolders /cleanreminders

Then press Enter. See if that helps.

Even though my calendar reminder (and reminder.wav sound) is set to on,

none
of my reminders ever pop up on my screen. They used to work, but stopped
recently, and none of the help desk folks here on Robins AFB can seem to

fix
it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Calendar reminder does not work even though it's turned on

I ran “outlook.exe / resetfolders / cleanreminders” but I still have a
problem with 2 reminders that I have even deleted the appointment completely,
but still get a reminder for each every time I start Outlook 2007. Here are
the error messages:
Error message that I get if I try to dismiss the reminder – “Cannot turn off
the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence
information for this appointment”
Error message that I get if I try to dismiss the reminder – “Cannot postpone
the reminder. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment”
Then when I click OK I get this error message – “ There is an error snoozing
the reminder “Your Appointment”, Snooze operation terminated.”

Any other advise???

Default Calendar reminder does not work even though it's turned on

Hi

I am having major issues here. I have tried the start run cleanreminders
and resetfolder options and still nothing.

a few questions. Is there a reminder turn on feature? when I do the
cleanreminder in the run dialog, it just opens up outlook and then nothing.
isthat what it is supposed to do?

please help...I am desperate for a solution before i miss an important
meeting.

Yes, that's what you'll see. Outlook will just start, but it should
regenerate all reminders from scratch in the process.

Hi,

My reminders only work on messages in my Inbox. The pop-up function does not
work when a reminder is set on a mail in my sent items. I've tried everything
now but only reminders/pop-ups that is set on messages in my Inbox are
working. Is this suppose to be like this or am I doing something wrong?
Please help...

That’s how it works - they only fire in default folders unless you use an
addin. The only addin available is at slovaktech.com.

Default Calendar reminder does not work even though it's turned on

My problem is different. My Outlook reminders just stopped working
altogether. Let me stop and say that I'm using Outlook 2007 with Windowds XP
SP2 and Office SP2 and Outlook is with a PST file I've tried Outlook.exe
/resetfolders /cleanreminders and each time Outlook reopens with a "There was
a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders may not
appear." message. Well, not some, none, of reminders appear. Also at the
bottom of each daily calendar page is a message that says "The operation
failed. An object could not be found."

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Charles
