Default Removing OLE_LINKs in Word document

In several of my Word documents, when I choose "Insert /
Bookmark," I notice there are things called "OLE_LINK"s.
I'm not trying to link to the document to any other
document, it contains not pasted links, etc.

Is it safe for me to delete these OLE_LINKs without
corrupting the file or causing other problems? How do I
avoid them showing up in the first place?

Thanks.

Yes, it's perfectly safe to remove those bookmarks. I forget under what
cicumstances they're put in, but it's something to do with copy and past
operations.

Just made sure that you don't delete any text when you delete the bookmarks..
