Moving text within a documet
I am doing an assignment for school. We have to format a document that is
downloaded. I am trying to move a small block of text to another location within the same document. Can anyone help me?

Moving text within a documet
Yes. When I highlight the text and try to copy and paste it where I want it
it does not end up where I have specified. I just don't know what to do other than just retype it in where I want it. When I copy and paste should the text not go where my cursor is?? I understand your hesitation. I don't see a function that will allow me to move text in any other way. Am I missing something? I do not know what a text box is but it is not a paragraph, It is the title,

Moving text within a documet
Sounds like it's meant to be in the header, in which case you need to open
the header for editing. In Word 2003 and earlier, this is View | Header and Footer. In Word 2007, just double-click in the header area to activate it. -- Suzanne S. Moving text within a documet
If you're trying to MOVE it, then you don't want copy & paste, you want cut
& paste. Select the text you want to move. Press Ctrl+X. Click where you want the text to reside, and press Ctrl+V. If you want to COPY it, then use Ctrl+C (Copy) instead of Ctrl+X (Cut). You can also use F2. Select the text you want to move, press F2, then click where you want it to move to, and then press Enter. You can also drag it. Select the text you want to move, then move the mouse over the selection, press and hold the left mouse button, and drag the text to the desired location, releasing the mouse button when you've reached the desired location. Note: of the three methods, this one is the trickiest to accomplish if the source and destination aren't both viewable onscreen at the same time. There are other ways to accomplish this as well. Block the text that you want to move, then hit cut. Put your cursor where you want the text to be inserted and hit paste.
