Default excel automatic add-ing

the automatic add-ing stop working. i uninstalled the program and reinstalled again, but did not fix the problem. I used tthe fix and repair option but did not fix the problem either.. I check Works and the automatic add-ing is not working either. What should i do to solve the problem?

Luis

The most common reason auto adding does not work is that Calculation is set to
"Manual" in ToolsOptionsCalculation. Change to "Automatic".

Second most common reason is that the cells that look like numbers are
actually Text.

Copy a blank cell then select the range of "number" and Paste
SpecialAddOKEsc.

If you have the same problem in both Excel and Works, I would go for the
second solution.
