I need to verify my e- mail address so it will not appear beside of my

Not sure what you want to do. Verify? Where do you see it and what do you
want to change?

If you mean that you don't want your e-mail address to show in
newsgroups, then go to Tools, Accounts, News, Properties, General and
remove the e-mail address there or put something bogus there. Some news
servers require that the e-mail address there be in the valid format of
or else they will refuse posting. The Microsoft news
server does not have that requirement.

Note that each OE mail and news account has its own settings. You don't
want to do that for any e-mail accounts or else the people you send to
will have problems replying.
