Auto Install of "new feature"?
Most of the time when I want to use an office application the program begins
to install a new feature. Then it asks for my original disk. I then have to get up and find it and insert it before I can go on. Is there a way to bypass this totally unwelcome, obtrusive process? Is there a way to find out what this "new feature" is? This is really absurd. I purchased Office 2003 Pro and installed it (to get the additional applications). Now the program asks for my old (previous) disk -- even though I upgraded to the Pro version. Hellllp! |

You might try putting the CD in, running a custom installation, and
selecting "run all from my computer." That should take care of it. You might also want to ask this in the office.setup or office.misc newsgroup. http://communities2.microsoft.com/co...s/default.aspx -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com presenter, PPT Live '04 Oct 10-13, San Diego http://www.powerpointlive.com "Dale-very-upset" wrote in message news Most of the time when I want to use an office application the program begins to install a new feature.
