Text File Import
When opening a text file in Excel, the Text Import Wizard
doesn't show and the file opens as blank with nothing in it. Any ideas? Thanks, - Andrew. |

Text File Import

To force the wizard to appear, change the text file's extension to something that Excel doesn't recognise, like .cma. and the file opens as blank with nothing in it. Any ideas? Even if the wizard is bypassed, you'll typically only see this if there's really nothing in the file. First check the file size; is it large enough to suggest the presence of real data? Second, open the file in Notepad or WordPad to see whether there's anything in there aside from maybe spaces, tabs or other padding characters. --------------------------------------------------------- Hank Scorpio scorpionet who hates spam is at iprimus.com.au (You know what to do.) * Please keep all replies in this Newsgroup.
