Excel Hyperlink Validiation
I have a lot of hyperlinks within an Excel spreadsheet.
I'm wishing to be able to automate the process of checking each hyperlink (for any broken links) and create a report. Can anyone explain if this is possible or how to do this? Paz |

Excel Hyperlink Validiation
Hi Paul,
What kind of hyperlinks are they Hyperlink worksheet functions or those like you create with right-click. and are they links within a sheet, another sheet, another workbook, a webpage, a file. By broken do you mean the location does not exist, or that the link really belongs within a different cell and was messed up by sorting, copy/paste or something that you know about. Or perhaps it is a link that used to be correct but wasn't updated when you changed the display. Do you have calculation turned on (don't know if this would affect things or not, but it doesn't hurt for me to ask).. What version of Excel. I don't know of any solution for Excel looking for dead links. Perhaps with the additional information it would be easier to come up with a test and a solution. I check individual links by taking the link and then using the back button alt+ left_arrow There are all kinds of solutions for HTML, where the links are tested. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "paul" wrote in message ...
