I have opened a letter that was written last week and the
date automatically updated to today's date. How can I stop this from happening? |

One doesn't usually use a DTP application to write a letter, so I can only surmise that you're using Word. If this is the case, why are you posting to a Publisher group? Please repost to a /Word/ group. |

Anna: On the top of the window click on the "insert tab" Part way down on the tab you will find "date and time..." click on it, a small window will pop-up in it near the bottom of this window you will find a box "update automatically" make sure this has no check in the box. Click on the box and the check mark will go away. You show be set now. Milton |
