Using the "+" to peform a "null propagation" as outlined in

by Sal Ricciardi does not seem to work when the data is numeric. Is there a
work around for this?

For example:
=Trim([chrDataAlways] & ("; "+[chrDataSometimes]))
where chrDataSometimes is text data. This works!

=Trim([chrDataAlways] & ("; "+[intDataSometimes]))
where intDataSometimes is numeric data. This produces an error).
