Default Sharing Calendars without Exchange

Hi NHAnimator,

1. Will this option allow users to share a single calendar with full
edit capabilities and/or make their own, default calendar editable by
others? And...

No.

2. Can I install IIS and WebDAV on a basic XP Pro system

Yes

to be able to handle this task?

No.

Also this solution is only a "read only" solution. To share Outlook without
Exchange (in real time) you have only 3rd party solutions.

This is a newbie question. Sorry.

We just installed Outlook 2007 on 2 Vista systems and 2 XP systems. We
currently share the calendars via Publish to Internet. However, User1
cannot edit User2's calendar using this method (obviously).

We do not have (and do not plan on purchasing) Exchange. We currently
have an 5th XP PRO system which simply stores our data files.

I have read about using IIS and WebDAV as an Exchange alternative. But
all collaborative software is still new to me. So...

Thanks in advance,
