Default BUG REPORT: prints, but doesn't display, suppressed 1st page H

Great -- I submitted the report for 2007 under the assumption it's a bug
there too. I also rated Yes your two posts which told me about Ignore Master
Page and feedback.office.microsoft.com.

The Connect site is busily Beta testing 2010, I couldn't find the feedback link.
I think all the bug feedbacks for Office 2007 is closed.

OK, I signed in. There are some Publisher bugs, but it doesn't show what
Connection they're on. In the Office category there's nothing to do with
Publisher, or Word, or Excel, or Access, or Powerpoint. I pull down Add New
Connection and it does nothing. And there's no link to create any message
anywhere. All I can do is read stuff.

No, but I'm signed in to MSDN. Once I get one, then what -- does this lead
to bug-reporting?

OK, page by page I can tell it to ignore the master, so when I do that
on
pages 1 and 4 no H/F's appear.

But my point is, I've found a BUG. I shouldn't have to do Ignore Master
Page when I've already UNchecked the Show-H/F's-On-First-Page checkbox
on
each of the two sections, whose first pages are 1 and 4. Again, the
screen
is correct, but the printout is not.

*** This is a BUG. It should be reported. How do I report this? ***

Here's the pub:

Here's the PDF:

There is no Ignore Master Page setting on any page, so you can see the
BUG.

That takes care of page 4 -- should I have a third master just for
page
1?

The bottom line is, the display is what I want, but the printout
isn't,
and
that's a bug. Do you know how/where/to whom to report it?

With your scenario you should apply a created Master Page B to page
4.
There
should be no page number visible nor should it print. Sections are
not
necessary
in a four page booklet.

You can send me your publication.

I have a four-page book-layout document, which therefore prints on
two
sides
of one piece of paper, which I then fold in half. It has one
two-page
master
with facing headers and footers, and two sections, the second
beginning
on
page 4, the last page.

In both sections I have UNchecked the box saying "Show headers and
footers
in the first page", because the first page is the front cover, and
the
fourth
page is the back cover. When I click the four page icons in the
lower
left,
the screen correctly shows page 1 without H/F's, then pages 2-3
with
properly
facing H/Fs, then page 4 blank.

However, when I print it, H/F's appear on all four pages. This is
neither
WYSIWYG nor WYSIWYW (what you see is what you Want).

*** This is a BUG, Redmond! ***

Has anyone else seen this? And how do I report it to Microsoft?
I'll
send
this book to anyone interested -- it's written and illustrated by
my
six-year-old daughter, so it's not exactly copyrighted material
full
of
company or government secrets...
