I am trying to install office 2003 pro and when the
installation starts i get a installation error: file not
found.

Since we dont have the windows office 2003 pro cd anymore
we have successfully been using the image and virtual cd
program both downloaded from MSDN, and ONLY on this
desktop a CAB file cannot be found while installing.

what can be wrong with the desktop?
