Default vision pro 2007 - autocad import distortion

guess the only real way to show you is to send you a cadd file and let you
see for yourself. Is that possible?

We have seen issues in the past with certain objects contained in a CAD
drawing when imported into Visio. I am not sure I understand what you mean by
distortion from your description of your issue. Visio 2003 and 2007 does not
support the display of simple 3D geometry in CAD display objects. The
workaround to this scenario is to use CAD to degenerate 3D solids to 3D faces
before you try to open the CAD display object in Visio. It sounds like you
have tried saving the CAD drawing in a compatible format but if you are
working with one of the newer versions of CAD it could simply be incompatible
with Visio.

seems almost every autocad file I import comes into visio distorted.
sometimes it almost looks like a distorted plan for a 3d model - to clarify,
almost as if the plan was in 3d with 0 height walls. Otherwise, it just
comes in with the x or y axis off, but never proportionally. I've tried a
simple import, copy paste, even saved the autocadd file to a very, very early
version - i.e. someting like 97, still no luck. Obviously this works for
others, any hints?

thanks,
