Getting rid of blank space

You don't mention where you get the extra space.
If there's a control with a value directly aligned (on the right, and
possible even on the left of a control that would be blank), that control
with a value will "hold open" the other (supposedly blank) control.

single CanShrink property to Yes (PartName Hdr, the sub-report control,

minimum height) and I still have blank spaces. On the grouping page I

keep together as No for the Part Name. But still I get extra space.
