Did you disable your virus scanner and exit all applications? What is the
exact error message you are encountering? Do you have any applications
from a previous version of Office installed?

Yes, I did disable the virus scanner and exited everything else. This is an
upgrade installation from Office 2000 to Office 2003. The upgrade removed
all the previous versions. The message is so generic it's lame. All it
says is there's a problem and I should try reinstalling.

This PC does have something unique, though. He's got a customized AutoExec
macro running in Word to display a small departmental menu. Does RHD update
the AutoExec during a normal install? Could that be stopping it?

Thanks,

Tom
