Default The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable

Go to Control Panel-Mail Icon and create a new mail profile, configure it
to use your ISPs mail server and POP3 or IMAP mail. Exchange is a Corporate
Mail server that (most) home users do not have access to.

How to ask a question: http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375

After furious head scratching, debz_w69 asked:

| When I try to open Microsoft Outlook, the following error message
| appears:
|
| "The connection to Microsost Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be
| online or connected to complete this action."
|
| When I click ok, a window opens with a general tab asking for the
| microsoft exchange server and mailbox details to be entered.
|
| Could someone please help me to get rid of this error message so I can
| configure my outlook profile.
