I configured an IMAP profile and I get the following error message:
A connection to the server could not be established. server is now in
offline mode.

I searched the MS Knowledgebase and got a direct hit on that error message
-- Article ID822508. That article says the problem occurs when you use IMAP
and Exchange Cached mode.

Now I used to use Exchange cached mode on this install of Outlook when I use
to have an Exchange account. I no longer have that account and I have removed
all profiles except for the IMAP profile.

The article says nothing about how to resolve the issue -- presumably the
only thing to do is to shut off exchange cached mode. But I don't have cached
mode on because I have no exchange profiles, only an IMAP profile.

How do I get out of this?
