Default Cannot open file after installing Office 2007 Service Pack 2

I don't know how you can know to state as truth that "most people" are OK
opening pre SP2 files. I have seen people complaining about this here and
elsewhere ... that their Publisher files cannot be opened.

No one from Microsoft has contacted me about this or asked for a specimen
document. I am not going to pay $100 for email support to fix something that
should never have been released; at one point Microsoft would have considered
something like this a show stopper .... perhaps now bugs are a new source of
revenue ... pay $$$ for every contact with MSFT.

It boggles the mind that Microsoft would not have done a simple regression
test before releasing SP2 .... to make sure that Publisher 2007 can open an
exisiting file. It appears that Publisher and its users are not important to
Microsoft. Breaking an application is just not right.

The fact is that most people (including myself) CAN open pre-SP2 files
in SP2; if that were not the case, obviously it would have been
discovered during the beta.

Microsoft has been made aware of this issue.
