Default Autonumber numbers

I will elaborate on what has already been posted in this thread. You will
almost surely be disappointed if you are counting on a predictable autonumber
sequence that will be seen by the viewer. The sequence will have gaps. It
is almost impossible to prevent this. If you need an incrementing number you
should roll your own, but not with an autonumber field. More he
