As of 2006 if you are declared disabled for any reason and apply for Social
Security Income, Medicare, Medicaid or other government and state funding
you could wait up to TWO years for assistance.
I unfortunately have a family member awaiting assistance, and she only
receives $152.00 in food stamps a month!
