Default Relative reference for a table formula

Hi vjk,

Word doesn't provide any native support for relative cell addressing. Depending on what exactly you need to do, you might be able to
incorporate a SUM(LEFT) function (eg =SUM(ABOVE)+SUM(LEFT)). Alternatively, for a workaround and details of how to do a wide range
of other calculations in Word, check out my Microsoft Word Field Maths Tutorial, at:

The following table formula does the calculation I need using 3 columns
and two rows:

=E5+C6-D6

For keeping a record of payments...

E is the running balance, C is the current debit and D is the current credit

How do I turn that into a relative reference so it can be added without
changes to each row

I presume it starts with =SUM(ABOVE)+ ? - ?

TIA
