Ah, interesting -- I didn't realize there might be different behavior
between linked and embedded sounds. (Hadn't had a chance yet to test it here
to see what the problem might be.)

However Linked and Embedded sounds act differently. Linked sounds usually
restart where you paused and embedded sounds normally start over. You may
be
able to save as html to recover the sound file and then delete the
original
and reinsert as a linked file.
