Outlook Connect Not Working
Starting to sound as though this is not an isolated incident regardless of
your OS, in fact, i am running Windows Vista Home Prem. and have begin to
experience the same type of error message(s) that you have.
I really don't understand what is causing the malfunction, however, i am now
unable to access my outlook accounts. I really do not understand why this
upgrade is so important to the point they feel that you cannot send/receive
any mail without first installing the new Outlook Connector v12.1 upgrade. I
mean, if you experienced no problems with sending or receiving while using
Outlook Connector v12.0 then why would they feel it necessary to disable
these features if you chose not to update; Not that we have a choice. Fact
is, since OC v12.1 release I am unable to access any of my email accounts
using Outlook.
Question is, when does Microsoft plan to get this issue resolved. I just
don't understand why an upgrade would set you back by disabling such vital
features & since when did Microsoft deem it necessary to start imposing such
updates or risk loosing product functionality?
Thanks Microsoft....

I have been running WXP Pro (SP3) and Office 2007 (SP2) on my old Dell
Inspiron 9300 and used Outlook Connector to send and receive email from two
accounts in OfficeLive. I had no problems at all using this method for the
past 8 months. Obviously, I was running on a 32-bit PC.
I just got a new Dell Studio 17 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
edition and loaded the same Office 2007 (SP2) onto it. All seems well,
except I cannot send/receive email using Outlook Connector.
Each time Outlook starts, I get an error message telling me that I must
upgrade to a new Outlook Connector. Each time I try this, I get the same
error message. I have removed Outlook Connector and tried to reinstall, but
I continue to get the same error.
Can someone help me solve this problem?
