Default Visio Abandoning Software/Database Modellers?

It's in the Enterprise Architect edition that you get with VS.NET, not in
the pro edition

Having just installed Visio 2003, I'm very dissapointed to find that --yet
again-- a new version of Visio has resulted in a LOSS of features used by
a database modeller. In particular, the Data Flow Model template has been
reduced to a simple stencil with a few basic shapes. Gone are the Model
Explorer, Error checking, and Sub-Processes (drill down to detail page).

Microsoft, what is going on??? I'm paying my software assurance fee(s),
and getting less value with each new version. What am I now to do with my
extensive library of DFD diagrams in Visio format, which no longer work
properly in the 2003 version?

If your intent is to eliminate these data modelling features, then PLEASE
give us a statement of direction to that effect!! Then I can stop
investing my valuable time and energy creating models in a tool which will
not support those features in future versions.
