Default What file type can publisher open and edit?

To see all the types that Publisher opens, click on the File Type button on
the "Open" dialog box and scroll through the options.

A PDF can not be opened directly in Publisher, but depending on the version
of Acrobat that you have (or some other 3rd party tool), you could save the
PDF as a Word docs and open that in Publisher. The result may be pretty
close to the original or require so much work that it would be easier to
start from scratch, just depends on the original PDF.

You also can just save the PDF as an image and paste that into Publisher,
but you wouldn't be able to modify it.

I'm using MS Publisher 2007 and would like to know what other type of

it can use and edit other than *.pub files? If it can only use *.pub
files,
how can a person convert a *.PDF file to a *.Pub file? what other file
types
can be converted to a *.Pub file?

Thanks to all who reply,
